midwives

A midwife is a knowledgeable and experienced person (usually a woman) who helps a woman to have a healthy, normal pregnancy and give birth to a healthy baby. We offer education, counseling and support before, during, and after the baby is born. We do not interfere unnecessarily with the birth process while also advising appropriate medical attention if needed.

Nicole Greene

Nicole Greene ,
Doula, Birthing Assistant
A potter by trade, Nicole now uses her hands as a Birth Assistant and Doula. After spending a few years in the art community, Nicole picked up her life in Iowa City and moved to Kansas City, where she became professionally trained at the Academy of Certified Birth Educators and Labor Support Professionals. Prior to her ACBE education, Nicole was reading every pregnancy book she could find and watching every childbirth documentary in the public libraries. It wasn't until she supported a close friend through a healthy pregnancy and natural birth, that Nicole decided to quit her day job and instead spend all-nighters with laboring women.
